Biography

With over 35 years of experience in software and information technology industries, Mr. Culbreth has held executive P&L positions in global software companies and national/international professional service firms. In addition to successfully creating and running business units within large corporations, he has started up entrepreneurial businesses and organizations outside of the corporation.

Mr. Culbreth is a member of the Board of Directors for the Root Group, Inc., a technology reseller and consulting firm in Boulder, CO.  Before that he led the Cloud professional services team for the Americas and the global service product management at VMware, Inc. ($6B software company) with responsibilities for service offerings of all of VMware’s products.

Key positions include Executive Director of International Professional Services at CSG Systems ($600M telecommunications software company), Chief Operating Officer at Coachcomm, LLC (a wireless broadband start-up), Vice President and General Manager at Information Industries, Inc. ($50M system integrator), Director of Operational Strategy at Forsythe Solutions ($1B technology reseller) and Director of Integration and Consulting Services at GE/Access Graphics ($1B technology distributor – now Avnet).

Since 2012, Mr. Culbreth has been a Lecturer at Colorado University, Leeds School of Business teaching the Business Minor Capstone class as well as the Operations and Information Management / Business Planning class for Leeds business school majors. He started teaching at Colorado School of Mines in the fall of 2018 for the Engineering and Technology Management graduate program.

He has also served as Board Chairman for 4 years at the National Pain Foundation, a non-profit organization that provided a peer-reviewed, educational website on chronic pain. Board Member 1999-2006.
