GIS and Geoinformatics Program
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Geoinformatics is crucial to developing the technology, policies, standards, human resources and related activities necessary to maintain and preserve spatial data. Using an interdisciplinary teaching model, Mines’ GIS and Geoinformatics graduate program gives graduate students hands-on experience in geospatial training and advanced application, and quantitative analysis of GIs and remote sensing. Graduates in this program will enhance their skills, stay ahead of the technology curve and advance their careers to become top-notch professionals and leaders in their field.

- Statement of Purpose: Not Required. Suggested if GPA is less than 3.0/4.0
- Transcript(s): Required. Must be submitted for all schools attended (unofficial transcripts accepted for admissions review and must show successful completion of any required prerequisite course(s).
Masters Non-Thesis

- Letters of Recommendation: Required – two letters. Only one letter of recommendation is required for current Mines students or Mines alumni.

FEES
- All registered students will be assessed the Technology Fee: $83 during the fall and spring semesters and $41 in the summer.
- Students may be assessed additional fees (course, lab, etc.) based on their enrollment.
