Certificate Requirements

Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity

  • Undergraduate-level knowledge on data structures, computer organization, algorithms, and operating systems
  • Undergraduate-level knowledge on statistics and discrete mathematics
  • Undergraduate-level skills on the Linux operating system and shell scripts
  • Undergraduate-level programming skills in languages such as C, C++, Python, Java, JavaScript and HTML/CSS
  • A completed bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution
  • Statement of goals/purpose: share your professional and personal goals
  • Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • For international applicants or applicants whose native language is not English, please review the English Proficiency requirement

Note: A Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is not required for admission into the online Cybersecurity program

 

Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity

This certificate program requires four online graduate-level courses:

  • CSCI560 Fundamentals of Computer Networks
  • CSCI574 Theory of Cryptography
  • CSCI585 Information Security and Privacy
  • CSCI587 Cyber Physical Systems Security
